PEAR
COBBLER
(Makes 6 servings)
Ingredients
6 large
pears
¼ cup brown
sugar
1 tablespoon lemon
juice
1 teaspoon
cornstarch
Procedure
1. Peel cut and core the pear cut
into small dice.
2. Toss all of the above ingredients together and place in
buttered baking dish.
3. Bake for 10 mins. Until fruit is
tender.
For biscuit topping:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking
powder
1 teaspoon
salt
1 ½ sticks of
butter
½ cup of
buttermilk
Procedure
1. Mix together flour sugar baking
powder and salt.
2. Cube up butter into small pieces blend with your finger tips
until it looks like cornmeal.
3. Stir in buttermilk just to
combine.
